Patisserie Boutique

Patisserie Boutique is a popular cafe located in Ipoh. It is a charming and lovely cafe. It wasn’t a big cafe, not very special, no splendid embellishment, merely painted with black and white and an attractive painting of Eiffel Tower on the wall, making me think that I have stepped into a cafe in Paris. Its simplistic environment which overflowed with the fragrance of coffee amazingly gave me a very relaxed feeling.

The cooling and high ceiling gave the cafe a cosy vibe.  The soft French background music makes this a cafe you can go with your friends for some great catch ups over a satisfying cup of coffee.

There are many types of Eiffel Tower elements in this cafe.

I ordered a spicy raisin and pine nuts aglio-olio spaghetti with a cup of latte. This aglio-olio spaghetti which costs RM16.00 is one of the items on their weekend special. They added some chili flakes to the pasta, which left a hint of aftermath heat, making it quite different from the premise. With only pine nuts and raisin, some might find this meatless pasta quite dull, but to those who love pasta like me, a spaghetti with only crunchy pinenuts and chewy sweet raisin is really the best!

A pretty coffee art of latte, matched perfectly with the wooden table! And the latte costs RM8.00 only! I love its latte. I enjoyed every sip of it. The latte has sufficient depth to it and the milk is just about right. However, the intensity of the coffee is a little lacking for my taste. Haha, this is because I like strong latte.

Overall: Good

Aroma: Strong

Body: Smooth

Price: RM8.00

Drink again: Maybe!

By the way, the only weakness of this cafe is their service. This is because there is a lack of staffs. As a result,self-service is sometimes required. Overall, it is really a cafe worth going.
