Tucked away in the town of Melawati, the nice ambience of EspressoLab Melawati makes it a perfect spot for people to hangout.
EspressoLab Melawati offers a wide range of caffeinated as well as non-caffeine beverages. Besides beverages, this cafe also offers a nice variety of pastries, cakes and pastas.
In terms of the design of the cafe, one could tell that the owner of the café put in a lot of thought when it came to the design of the café. The wooden chairs and stools as well as the tempered glass tables with wooden base are among the things which stand out in the café. Other than the wooden chairs and stools, there are also a few single-seat couches for those who prefer a more comfortable place to sit. For those who are looking for a place to work with your laptop, this is a good place to work with your laptop as they offer free wi-fi.
I had the opportunity to try out their latte. The taste of the latte was not bad, it was strong and aromatic. Despite the strong taste of coffee, one could still taste the milk when sipping the latte. However, it was slightly expensive as a small cup of latte costs RM11.55.
I also ordered their Cream Cheese Carbonara which costs RM13.80. The portion of the pasta was not too big, neither was it too small. It was just nice for one person. They were very generous when it came to the amount of Carbonara sauce. I personally think that it was worth paying RM13.80 for it. Other than Cream Cheese Carbonara, they also serve other types of pasta such as Aglio Olio, Beef Bolognese and the newly launched Vege Pasta.
In terms of the service offered, the staffs there were pretty friendly. However, there was one drawback. I had to wait a long time before my pasta arrived.
Oh and before I forget, the cafe is pretty cold, so do bring a jacket/cardigan or anything that can keep you warm if you’re one of those who are cold-intolerant.
